Certified Maritime Operations & Compliance Professional (CMOCP)
The Certified Maritime Operations & Compliance Professional (CMOCP) credential validates
endtoend competence in safe ship/port operations and regulatory compliance.
Course Overview
The Certified Maritime Operations & Compliance Professional (CMOCP) credential validates
endtoend competence in safe ship/port operations and regulatory compliance. The programme
integrates operational excellence with the global maritime rulebook—SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM/ISPS,
STCW, MLC 2006, IMDG, Ballast Water, Port State Control—and embeds environmental (EEXI/CII, EU
ETS/MRV, IMO DCS) and cybersecurity requirements. Graduates can plan and supervise operations,
lead audits, manage incidents, and evidence compliance to flag, class, PSC, charterers, and insurers.
Why This Course is Important?
- Safety & liability: Robust compliance prevents casualties, fines, detentions, and reputational damage.
- Commercial advantage: Strong vetting/PSC records, rightfirsttime documentation, and emissions reporting win fixtures and lower premiums.
- Futureready: Decarbonisation, sanctions, and cyber risks demand multidisciplinary capability.
- Career elevation: Positions professionals for HSE/Compliance Lead, DPA/CSO roles, Port/Terminal Ops and Vetting.
